Allergy Proof Your Home

Creating an allergy proof home requires a little work and effort, but can be accomplished a lot easier with the help of a Steam Extreme 3000.  Surprisingly, the hardest part in creating an allergy free home is knowing where to start and exactly what should be done.  To make the task a little less daunting, we have created a list of areas to focus your attention on.  One thing to remember and keep in mind is the potential benefits you and your family will see once you have an allergy proof house.

Bedrooms:

More than likely, the bedroom is the best place to start for anyone suffering from allergies. The bedroom is a collecting point for allergens, mold, and dust mites, which are the chief indoor allergy culprits.
•    Use dust covers on mattresses and pillows that are made from natural materials like cotton or silk.
•    Clean all bedding with the Steam Extreme 3000 at least once a month.  Most washing machines don’t cycle and clean the bedding with water hot enough to be effective.
•    Be sure to steam clean fan blades, window sills and shelves.
•    Deep clean all surfaces once a month with a Steam Extreme 3000.
•    Sanitize toys regularly.
•    Keep bedrooms as dry as possible.  The recommend rule is to keep the room’s humidity level below 50%.

Bathrooms:

First the bad news: Bathrooms have by far the most germs in your whole house.  The good news: They tend to be smaller in size and easier to clean.  We kept the bathroom in mind when designing the SteamExtreem 3000.  Lightweight and extremely mobile, it will make your job that much easier.
•    Use the SteamExtreme 3000’s many attachments to clean the tub and shower.  Pay attention to soap scum, shower doors and curtains, corners, and places water may pool up.
•    If the bathroom has any fans or vents, make sure they are well dusted.  Also be sure to check the light fixtures.
•    The SteamExtreme 3000’s high temperature vapor will kill off germs, mold, and spores in the sink, the toilet and all surface areas around them.
•    Make sure your bathroom is well ventilate and stays dry between uses.
•    Deep clean the sink, fixtures and toilet regularly.
•    Use the Steam Extreme 3000 on any bathroom rugs.
